Key Role

Responsible for a supporting role at Marketing & Sales Unit of Business Strategy Department both in Sales & Clerical terms. At Marketing & Sales Unit which is accountable for Freight Forwarding & Business Development with targeted Multi-National Corporations (MNCs), the unit is also supposed to take the lead in product planning in freight forwarding & international express segments, while contributing to Company and its group members including subsidiaries / affiliates from “door-opening” activities, RFQ participation, and Implementation processes.

 
Tasks at Marketing & Sales Unit

Assist Senior Manager at Marketing & Sales Unit as much as you can typically in the following requirements.

  • Tender Management

    (Rate Negotiation with carriers / RFI Preparation & RFQ participation / Port-RFQ analysis etc.)

  • Implementation & Execution

    (i.e. SOP preparation / KPI monitoring etc.)

  • Pipeline Management

    (Prospective clients / targeted clients / existing clients)

  • Account Management

    (newly-secured clients / existing clients)

  • New Product planning in freight forwarding & international express segments

    (strengthen the product portfolio of the group for further revenue generation)

  • Other clerical jobs
  • PPT material preparations (both for internal & external meeting, reporting purposes etc.)
  • Compilation Jobs (volume report / group company profile / market-intelligence etc.)
  • Other miscellaneous jobs

 

 Things to Note

 

  • The position involves in verbal communication, email correspondence and physical visit to internal & external organizations (i.e. Company’s group members, its group companies and clients)

    Required skills

  • Comprehensive expertise in freight forwarding (both Air & Sea) and the entire Supply Chain Management field
  • In-depth knowledge on various industry verticals
  • Thorough market knowledge (clients, competitors, suppliers, overall Supply-Chain segment)
  • Wide circle of business-related friends / partners / agents / customers
  • Sales-orientated background (i.e. bringing your clients’ network to the organization)

  • Able to read, interpret, and analyze documents, contracts, regulations and procedures in a timely manner
  • Define problems, analyze facts and determine optimum solutions to resolve the issues

Educational Background and Work Experience

  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in pure freight forwarding industry
  • Experience from a global freight forwarding company (e.g. DHL, K&N, Schenker, Nex, etc.) is valuable
